SOFTWARE DESIGN
I got my start working in software development and design, culminating with my role as a user interaction specialist and overall product designer for Apple’s (once) esteemed video editing software, FINAL CUT PRO.
APPLE, INC. Software Designer, Instructional Designer On-and-off from 1998-2017
Detailed design of user interaction and workflow for Final Cut Pro software up to version 1.2. Designed and produced training curriculum and demos. Supervised and administered beta testing program, Acted as liaison for customers to integrate feedback into iterative design. Later, designed and wrote user manuals for a variety of products.
MACROMEDIA, INC. Workflow Designer/Usability Expert 1995-1998
Design and evaluate every aspect of cutting edge video editing software. Provide usability feedback to host of products including Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, Freehand, etc. Perform usability testing and analyze data.
ADOBE, INC. SQA Engineer 1993-1995
Tested usability of and provided workflow feedback for graphics (Photoshop & Illustrator) and video editing (Premiere & After Effects) software for Macintosh and Windows platforms.
